Lesson 20 · Preparation and Packaging
A pack is not just a cover. It must let the sterilant in, keep microbes out and open cleanly when it is used.
In this lesson
Pick packaging that suits the item and the sterilization method, use woven wrap, rigid containers, peel pouches and flat wrap the way the manual describes, close and label every package so tampering shows and the right pack reaches the user, and judge a pack's sterility by what has happened to it rather than by its sterilization date.
